Printed mould for a glass-fibre composite part

The challenge

A one-off glass-fibre reinforced part. Machining or hand-building a conventional mould takes a lot of time and money for a single part.

The solution

We printed the mould in sections, assembled it, then finished and prepared it for lamination.

The result

The part was laminated in one operation on the printed mould, taking it from design to laminate without a machined or handmade mould.
